Los Angeles Mission strives to be a world leader among Missions that provide for the poor, restore the addicted and eliminate homelessness.
Los Anegles Mission sees each individual as a spiritual person of worth and dignity and worthy of assistance in their journey. Our vision is to see individuals and families set free from addictions and homelessness, transformed by God to become physically and spiritually healthy; educationally equipped to participate in society and sustain housing; and encouraged to create relationships of love and service to others. We seek to help those who have been abused and neglected to find a better life. We seek to help those who have become addicted to understand their addictions, to expect physical healing and to live in ways that are healthy to soul, mind and body.

Traditional Easter meal served to thousands of men, women and children. Volunteers from the entertainment industry, local political leaders and Mission supporters spread the joy of new possibilities to the homeless on Skid Row. Each child received a colorful Easter basket full of goodies. Adults had also received new shoes and socks.

Foot washing has both a spiritual and a practical meaning for the homeless. Jesus washed the feet of his disciples offering a surprisingly powerful example of servant leadership. The Los Angeles Christian Health Center coordinated foot wash and therapeutic podiatric medical help for the homeless. The Mission understands the necessity of addressing the foot health issues of the homeless who, out of necessity, spend a lot of time on their feet. More than 1,500 paired of new shoes had given away during this event. Etniessm, the world’s leading Action Sports footwear and apparel manufacturer, donated the shoes. Etniessm staff and volunteers made sure everyone got a proper fit.
