About “Scar Tissue”
Scar Tissue is a song about healing after the loss of a friendship. We hear so many songs about romantic heartbreak, but losing platonic love is something that’s rarely talked about, even though it can hurt just as deeply. I wanted to write a song that gave voice to that kind of grief—the confusion, the sadness, and ultimately the healing that follows. My hope is that anyone who has experienced the loss of a meaningful friendship feels seen and reminded that healing is possible, even when the scars remain.
Bio
Lana Love is a New York City–based singer-songwriter, creative director, vocal coach, and artist advocate whose work blends cinematic pop with deeply personal storytelling. A former contestant on NBC’s The Voice (Team John Legend), Lana writes music that explores resilience, vulnerability, and the shared experiences that connect us. Her music has been featured across television, streaming platforms, and editorial playlists, and she continues to build a career at the intersection of music, storytelling, and human connection.
Beyond her own artistry, Lana mentors and helps develop emerging artists and is passionate about protecting creators. She serves as Co-Chair of the Entertainment, Arts & Sports Committee for the United States Intellectual Property Alliance (USIPA) and also serves on the Creators Advisory Board for the Copyright Alliance, where she works to educate, empower, and advocate for creators and their rights.
